Paul S | Great day trip to Capri!
We booked the day trip to Capri, and would highly recommend it. It’s a small group tour – there were a total of 10 people on our boat (the Mr. Luigi). It’s not an in-depth informational tour, rather you drive around and see the beautiful scenery and enjoy the sunshine. Our boat driver did offer some information, pointing out the name of various places we went (the red grotto, etc). He was an excellent driver (and easy on the eyes). We had 4 hours on Capri, which was enough time to wander around, eat, and shop. We stopped for a swim in an amazing grotto, and had some prosecco after.
PeePeeOhPee | The BEST way to see Capri!
First, I have to say Franco, our Captain for the day, was excellent! He took us into every nook and cranny of the island, giving us all kinds of facts and stories. He helped take pictures, handed out beers, popped a bottle of prosecco for us and really made the experience enjoyable. I really loved that we has such a small amount of people on the boat. It was easy to talk to everyone and make friends! I honestly enjoyed the boat ride more than exploring the island on foot. Make sure to wear shoes that are easy to take on and off, because you can’t wear them on the boat. When you get dropped off at the island, make sure you have a plan of what you want to see, and how you are getting to the top. There is a public bus but it was always packed and we had spent a majority of time just trying to get somewhere other than the marina. Taxi’s are expensive, about 25 euro each way. The funicolore tram was the best way we found to get up and down. but it only takes you so far. We couldn’t wait to get back to the boat.
Amyinatl | Amalfi Coast Tour – Fantastic!
My family of 4 booked a day long boat tour of the Amalfi Coast with Positano Boats after checking out other tour companies. We were not disappointed. We arrived at the kiosk the morning of our tour. We were escorted out the the pier, as there were many other families waiting for the boats as well. Our escort introduced us to our captain & we were off. Our captain was Francesco. He was great. He asked us what we would like to see, where we thought we might like to stop and what towns we might want to get off the boat to tour. He was very helpful in suggesting a few places, he took us to some great spots to swim and snorkel and he made a great suggestion for our lunch. He was also knowledgeable in the history of the area, suggesting places we might like to drive to and places to see. We totally enjoyed the day. Francesco made sure we were comfortable, was always offering us drinks and was very accommodating with our teenagers. We had a fabulous day and would recommend Positano Boats and Francesco to anyone considering an Amalfi Coast Tour.
