The Amalfi Coast is famous all over the world for the uniqueness of its landscapes and, thanks to its natural beauties, it has been chosen several times as set for international films and commercials.
The last who started filming his next work here is Antoine Fuqua, director of The Equalizer 3.
The 2-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington is the lead actor and producer, the co-star actress is Dakota Fanning and the film is expected to be released in theaters on September 1, 2023.

On last October 10th the whole cast arrived between Amalfi, Atrani and Maiori and, most likely, it was Denzel himself who suggested to the director to pick this place for some scenes of the film. The famed actor has long been fond of this area, where he has also made friends with locals. In fact, when he’s around, he never gives up a walk in Positano and a lunch at the Chez Black restaurant.

For the set of The Equalizer 3 a gem less known to most was chosen, the very small Atrani. The latter is located immediately after Amalfi and is characterized by perched houses, typical of the area, and a small beach full of fishing boats.

In addition to Atrani, filming also concentrated in the more spacious Minori and Maiori.
All this has undoubtedly ensured a lot of visibility to the Amalfi Coast as well as a great mobilization of the workforce.
The presence of such a stellar cast was the icing on the cake at the end of an already great season. Many visitors and onlookers were attracted by the hope to meet the characters of the film. Certainly Denzel Washington was not one to hide, so much so that he was spotted several times as he wandered around the streets, he went to numerous shops to get ice cream or pizza and he enjoyed relaxing boat rides on the clear waters. The lucky ones who met him, described him as an easy-going guy, who knows how to put people at ease, demonstrating his extreme cordiality.
At the end of November the filming moved to Naples and then to Cinecittà.
In the meantime the entire Amalfi Coast awaits to welcome Denzel Washington again as soon as he wishes.
